Hieroglyphics: Alphabet
Although vowels used in spoken language, usually not written
unless word began with a vowel or where it might be confusing
if left out… like with names (Hebrew similar)
EXAMPLE
In English, words often abbreviated by leaving out vowels
crt = court
st = street
When these abbreviations are read aloud, they are spoken
using vowels
